Our Methodology

At Mercury Mindset, I believe effective mental performance work starts with understanding the person, not just the performance.

Our approach is grounded in a humanistic, person-centered philosophy, meaning I believe you are the expert on your own experiences. Rather than coming in with a predetermined solution, I work collaboratively to understand your perspective, build awareness, and identify the tools that best fit your individual needs.

From there, I use an integrative approach, drawing from a variety of evidence-based mental performance strategies to create a process that is personalized to you.

The Mercury Mindset Approach

Connect. Understand. Become Aware. Develop. Apply.

Because meaningful performance development starts with the person and moves toward performance.

Step 1

Connect

Before I can develop mental skills, I need to understand the person behind the performance. I create a space where you can be open, honest, and yourself without judgment.

A strong working relationship is the foundation for meaningful change.

Step 2
Understand

Your performance doesn't happen in a vacuum. I explore your goals, experiences, values, strengths, challenges, environment, and the situations that influence how you perform.

The goal isn't to tell you who you should be. It's to understand where you are and where you want to go.

Step 3
Build Awarness

I explore the thoughts, emotions, behaviors, habits, and patterns that influence your performance.

What happens when pressure increases?
What do you tell yourself after a mistake?
When are you at your best?

Awareness creates the opportunity for choice. When you understand what is happening, you can begin to choose how you respond.

Step 4
Develop

Once I understand the patterns and needs that matter most, we work together to develop practical mental skills and strategies.

Because every person is different, there is no one-size-fits-all mental skills program. I draw from different approaches and strategies to find what works best for you.

Step 5
Apply

Mental skills don't matter much if they only work in a consulting session.

We practice applying what you develop to the situations that matters like competition, performances, workouts, work, leadership, or everyday life. I evaluate what is working, adjust when necessary, and continue building from there.

The goal isn't perfection.

The goal is to help you become more aware, more adaptable, and more capable of responding effectively when it matters most.

The Foundation

Performance Is More Than Physical.

You can train your body every day and still find yourself struggling to perform. Mental performance is about developing the skills that allow you to move past the mental barriers to performance. Mercury Mindset works with individuals to develop practical mental skills that can translate directly into performance and life.

Mental Performance Skills are Life Skills.

Mercury Mindset exisits to guide individuals on their journey of performance growth through mental performance training by developing mental skills, building connection,  awareness, and promoting a different mindset to help move toward their performance potential.
